Moving Tips
If you have a large table, be sure to take it apart in preparation for loading. Stick the smaller removable parts into bags and tape them on the underside of the table. For the larger parts, designate a box and clearly mark it. If you have several pieces, number each and tape the number on the underside as well. Your chairs should be stacked with paper in between the seats.
Lighter and less-expensive wine tends to be more resilient to extreme temperatures, but if you have high-value wine, you should try moving your collection either early spring or late fall. Keep in mind that very hot or cold climates can affect your wine's taste and appearance. Also, transport your wine collection yourself since you have more control over the temperature conditions inside your car.
If you're long distance moving with your pet, there are certain things you should be aware of. First of all, never leave your pet in the vehicle unattended. Small animals such as cats and dogs can quickly dehydrate, especially if they're inside the car throughout the day. Your pets will require a regular supply of water.
